Handy fold-out 12 panel nature guide featuring 85 common species of trees and shrubs of Eastern Canada; includes size and range, along with ID tips.

From the back cover:

Trees are organized using the colour scheme and page numbers below.

Note from Little Lamb:

The back cover is laid out very well with what page to check for different types of trees to save you time searching.  Coniferous Trees are shown to be on pages 1-3 and Deciduous Trees on pages 3-10.  They are further categorized on the back into similar types of trees, for example Fir, Spruce, and Pine common varieties can be found on page 1.  Page 10 is reserved for miscellaneous.

From Little Lamb:

This is a very thin lightweight guide easy to throw in a backpack or purse or perhaps a large pocket.  Quite durable and should withstand reasonable wear and tear while out on adventures.  Being specific to Eastern Canada, instead of all of North America, is a nice perk.  Lone Pine produces a great number of very handy guides regarding the outdoors and gardening in Canada, often with province specific guides and books for easy reference.  Great resources for teaching children more about various outdoor topics, such as animal and plant identification, recognizing what animal or bird made that track, and gardening.  I grew up with many Lone Pine books around the house and I'm now happy to share them with others.  Very informative and interesting for all ages, even the littlest ones will likely enjoy the beautiful pictures.
